Abstract:
The report will mainly discuss the background and selection criteria for the construction of first-class undergraduate programs, as well as the speaker's personal reflections and suggestions on building first-class programs.
Speaker's Profile:
Quanshui Wu, Professor at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Fudan University, and Executive Deputy Director of the Shanghai Mathematical Center. He has previously served as the Dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences and Executive Director of the Shanghai Mathematical Center at Fudan University. Currently, he also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Teaching Guidance Committee of Fudan University (Vice Chairman of the Natural Science Sub-Committee), Vice Chairman of the Higher Education Mathematics Major Teaching Guidance Committee of the Ministry of Education, and a member of the Mathematics Discipline Expert Committee of the National Textbook Committee. Engaged in scientific research and talent cultivation in non-commutative algebra, he has published over 50 high-quality research papers in areas such as non-commutative ring theory, non-commutative projective algebraic geometry, and cohomology theory of Hopf algebras, making significant contributions to several related research fields. He has received titles such as the Outstanding Academic Leader in Shanghai, Baosteel Outstanding Teacher Award, Youth Teacher Award from the Ministry of Education, and the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Youth Teacher Award."
